- Fill in holes & knock down sandcastles before leaving the beach
- Properly dispose of trash — especially plastic bags and bottles
- Remove beach gear like chairs and umbrellas each night
- Use red lenses instead of white lights when wildlife spotting
- Turn off ocean-facing lights from May through August
- Never disturb nesting turtles, nests, or hatchlings
